Loren A. Tarr DDS
Dr. Tarr received his dental degree from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Prior to embarking on a career in dentistry he studied philosophy as an undergraduate at Amherst College and went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from Indiana University. In his practice of dentistry Dr. Tarr combines his passion for science, for using his hands to craft things of beauty, and for helping people achieve their overall health goals. The entire staff of Madrona Family Dental share Dr. Tarr's philosophy and his commitment to providing the best possible oral health care for our patients. We believe that delivering the highest level of service starts with taking the time to understand the individual needs and concerns of each patient. We strive to build long-lasting relationships that are founded on respect and trust. We derive great satisfaction from maintaining optimal oral health in each of our patients, one smile at a time.
Tami has been in the dental field since 1999 and joined Madrona Family Dental in 2021. From her first day working with us it was immediately apparent that her passion for dentistry and her concern for our patients would help ensure that everyone who walks through our doors receives the professional and personalized care that they deserve. Tami coordinates with the entire office to help our team create a complete and quality experience for all of our patients. She values being part of a practice where you will find gentle, thorough, and compassionate dental care. She enjoys spending her free time swimming with her son, traveling, and embarking on new adventures.
M’Lea completed her training as a registered dental assistant in 2005 and has been caring for patients at Madrona Family Dental since 2008. M’Lea cherishes the relationships she has formed with our patients. She cares deeply about their health and well-being and enjoys doing whatever it takes to provide them with the best possible care. M’Lea grew up in Seattle and likes to keep busy in her spare time. She is especially fond of hanging out with her baby girl, yes, she is a mommy now! She loves trying new things, particularly ethnic cuisine--the spicier the better! M'Lea joined Madrona Family Dental as Dr. Tarr's chair-side assistant then moved to the front office. Dr Tarr missed having her by his side and now she has returned to the clinical side of our care team.
Amy is a skilled and meticulous clinician who is very sensitive to the particular needs of her patients. She enjoys exploring local trails with her husband and their intrepid dog.

A native of Arizona, Alvaro came to Seattle in search of a different life and new experiences which started by taking part in a dental assisting program. Being from a small town and raised in a family restaurant, he has brought with him a sincere and generous sense of hospitality. Alvaro always knew he wanted to help people, and he has found the perfect way to do so by caring for our patients here at Madrona Family Dental. He has a knack for helping people feel comfortable and at ease, which he feels is the most important aspect of dentistry. A long-time foodie and lover of nature, Alvaro is not opposed to discussing where and what to eat in the city, as well as outdoor activities. He is also very interested in how our patients are doing outside of the dental chair.
Marcia joined the Madrona Family Dental team in 2021 and we are delighted to have her on board. She received her Dental Hygiene degree from the University of Minnesota and more recently completed the Bachelor of Applied Science in Community Health and Education degree from Seattle Central College. Marcia is committed to educating her patients about preventive dental care and believes 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.' In her spare time she enjoys reading, writing poetry (she was published in 2004), and floral design.
